In the 22 Oct 1806 premarital investigation of Andres Trujillo and Maria Guadalupe Valdez, who was the 26 year old widow of Juan Sanches the following burial record is given: In Santa Cruz on 4 May 1798, Father Ortega buried Juan Sanchez, 29, husband of Maria Guadalupe Valdez. Either the age of this Juan Sanches is incorrect, or he is a son of Pedro Ygnacio Sanches whose birth record has not yet been located. The investigation provides the linage of Juan Sanches: his father was Pedro Ignacio Sanchez, whose father was Figuenia Sanchez, whose mother was Maria Lujan. Maria Lujan was related in the first degree to Juana Lujan.
