Mary Reese, daughter of Solomon Reese and his first wife, was of age by 6 Feb 1843 when the following document was filed with the court in Lincoln County, Tennessee:

Articles sold by Cullen E. Sugg guardian for minor heirs of Solomon Reese sale on 26 Oct 1842. [Notation:] William W. Reese was entitled to one sixth part of that rent for 1841 which amount due last Christmas is $3.33. According to additional estate settlement documents for her father, Mary Reese married William E. Nation by 1844:

1844, Cullen E. Sugg guardian for minor heirs of Solomon Reese dec’d--
  - amt. paid Charles C. Coplane in right of his wife Eliza
  - amt. paid William E. Nation in right of his wife Mary
  - amt. paid William Hamilton for boarding John Reese
  - amt. paid William Reese, share

Even though sister Phebe E. is living, she is not included in the document.

Mary Reese is very likely the “Mary Ann Read” who married W.E. Nation in Fayette Co., TN on 22 Mar 1843.
