© Kathy Duncan, 2016

In 1878, a cavalry company was organized by the citizens of Granny's Quarter, Kershaw County, South Carolina. L.L. Clyburn provided them with a place to meet at his store and was their Captain. M. P. Kelly was 1st Sergeant.
