Edna Elizabeth Kelly, daughter of John Kelley Jr. and Nancy Missouri (Owens) Kelly, was born 13 Sept 1854 and died 12 Jan 1923 in Camden, Kershaw Co., SC. She is buried in Bethany Baptist Cemetery in Westville, Kershaw County, South Carolina. She never married.

Obituary of Edna Elizabeth Kelley:

Death of Miss Edna Kelley
Friends throughout the county were grieved to hear of the death of Miss Edna Kelley, which occurred at the home of Dr. William R. Clyburn last Friday night. She had been in failing health for some time and had recently been removed from the hospital to Dr. Clyburn’s home, as she was seemingly better, but death came suddenly and unexpectedly Friday night. Miss Kelley was the sister of the late Mrs. L.L. Clyburn and lived in Captain Clyburn’s home for many years and was endeared by the tenderest of ties, the ties of faithful service and unselfish devotion. A real sorrow has come into their lives with the passing of this good woman, a woman whose watch word was “duty” and whose every thought was for those she loved. A kindly heart and generous hand made many friends for her along life’s rugged road and these friends will long cherish and keep her memory green. The funeral services were conducted at Westville by the pastor of the Westville Baptist church and she was laid to rest in the family plot at that place.

In 1912, Edna was mentioned in her brother M.P. Kelley's obituary:

Mr. M.P. Kelly, formerly of this county but who left here about twenty-five years ago, died in Oklahoma on the 19th of June. Mr. Kelly was a brother of Mr. S.F. Kelly and Miss Edna Kelly, of our county, and was about seventy years of age at the time of his death. When the civil war broke out he enlisted and saw service with the Hampton Legions. He was in many battles, and used to refer to the thirty-two skirmishes he was in. He made a brave soldier, and his old comrades in this county will be pained to learn of his death. He is survived by his wife and eleven children, for whom sincere sympathy is felt and for his surviving brother and sister.
